Quality Snag provides independent, professional snagging inspections for new-build homes across the South East. Our role is simple: to give homeowners clear, reliable insight into the quality of their new property, and the confidence to deal with developers from an informed position.
With over 10 years’ experience assessing new-build construction quality — and more than 30 years’ combined surveying experience across the team — we understand how new homes are built, how defects arise, and how warranty standards are applied in practice.
A Thorough, Surveyor-Led Service
Every inspection is carried out by a fully qualified professional surveyor. We do not use trainees or subcontractors. Our inspectors hold professional memberships with recognised industry bodies including RICS, CABE and CIOB, ensuring all inspections meet the highest professional and ethical standards.
Each property is assessed using a structured inspection process comprising over 500 individual checks, covering workmanship, finishes, visible compliance issues and construction quality throughout the home.
We also use appropriate diagnostic and surveying equipment where required, allowing us to identify issues that may not be obvious during a casual walk-through.
Clear, Actionable Reports
Our snagging reports are designed to be practical and effective. Every defect is recorded with clear photographs, plain-English descriptions and guidance on the required rectification works.
Reports are aligned with NHQB principles, building regulations, and relevant warranty provider tolerances such as NHBC, LABC and Premier, helping ensure issues are raised in a format developers recognise and understand.
Support Beyond the Initial Inspection
Our service includes 2-year inspection cover at no extra cost, allowing additional defects that emerge during occupation to be documented and reported within the developer’s liability period.
We also offer flexible booking and quick turnaround, designed to fit around your handover date and minimise disruption.
